Art, philosophy and education
John Baldacchino is an essayist, visual artist and academic. He specializes in art, philosophy and education. He is Professor of Art and Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he teaches in the Art and Educational Policy Studies (EPS) Departments. He also served as Director of the Division of the Arts between 2016 and 2019. Prior to UW-Madison he was Chair of Arts Education at the University of Dundee; Associate Dean & Professor at Falmouth University in England; Associate Professor at Columbia University’s Teachers College in New York; Reader at Gray’s School of Art in Scotland; and Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Warwick University in England. He is the author of essays, articles, reviews and many books, details of which are found on this website.
